Not so long ago I set about looking into free solutions to build a website on and that's when I come across this website which is Yola.com, it allows you to build a free website and since I am not very good at the design aspects I picked the best template I could find and made a start.

It's strange how many friends I have found online due to recently signing up to some fishing forums that I found, it's not only a great sport but also a good way to connect with other like minded men who enjoy the open seas and the thrill of casting off.

Recently on the forum there was a discussion of various products that we own, one of them I recently purchase online was a handy jig rod from the Savage Gear brand (link) which I am extremely pleased with, I got it for a decent price and have been using it quite a lot, I am really hoping to get my moneys worth out of it because it was put on the credit card until I get paid (don't tell the wife!).

I guess what really frustrates me is the lack of local fishing shops near me, I almost always have to go online to buy because there is no local shops I can browse and even the closest one to me is out of town and has such a limited selection it's not even worth the trip down in the car.

I've been fishing for a number of years now but in the last 9 months I've really taken it a lot more seriously and invested in some good quality branded gear like Shimano, Savage Gear and Korum, these are at the upper level in terms of price but I've found it's made all the difference in terms of my catching and also in my overall enjoyment of the sport.

One way I got interested in fishing was when I seen my dad who had a lot of fishing magazines, in his spare time he even used to teach me a few things here and there so I was pretty decent by the time I hit my teenage years.

I am hoping to eventually take a fishing trip to america one day, I hear when the weather is nice and the water is clear there's no place on earth better, they also have a large boat culture that is something I'm very interested in.
